OUR STORY
What started out as a part time hobby has escalated into a thriving property development business that is now known for being a provider of luxury rental flats and holiday lets in Moray.
As always, every story has humble beginnings. I was a chemical engineer by trade working for a major oil and gas company in Aberdeen. I soon decided that working a nine till five desk job in the city wasn’t for me. I questioned the entire concept of ones working life and pandered the sheer amount of wasted talent out there currently under the stranglehold of complacency. A get out plan was put into motion so that I could get started on turning my passion into my living. For the first few years, I was coming back to Moray to work on my “side hustle” at the weekends whilst soldiering on with my day job during the week. With shrewd budgeting and massive sacrifice, it eventually got to the point where I could finally take up property development as my full time business thus my dream could become a reality.
Prestige Rental Properties is unrecognisable from what it was back then. All of the properties with the exception of 1, were acquired as either former offices or buildings in disrepair. Although we have been approached by investors, there is absolutely no third party investment involved in the company and it will forever remain completely exclusive.
Theres no doubt that the company has progressed massively in recent years and it is all the result of intensive and strategic planning, vigourous budgeting and a pragmatic mind-set versatile enough to deal with everything that the world of property throws at you. With this in mind, and the short term plan well and truly signed off, the company has formulated its mid term and long term plans with the view of accomplishing them within a 10 year timeframe.
The business model of the company is, in theory, relatively simple - acquire, plan, develop, rent. Putting this into practise however has taken years to master and every day there is something new to learn about the ever evolving world of property. We are incredibly optimistic about the future.
